What is the central theme of the entire Bible in one word (if possible)?

Everyone “lusts” and no one repents of lust, as in not immediately lusting again. The apostle Paul said all adulterers go to hell, so all christians are going to hell!

Homosexuality is an “abomination” to god. Oddly, this is the only abomination most christians worry about, for other people. What about the abominations above? What about christians conquering lust themselves? If homosexuals go to hell for not conquering their desires, then obviously christians will go to hell for not conquering theirs.

In the New Testament, you will go to an infinitely cruel, purposeless “hell” for thinking independently.

The bible proposes nonsense as “the wisdom of god”:

by Michael R. Burch

Except that it’s all nonsense, including “hell,” which was never once mentioned by the biblical god or his prophets in bible passages covering 4,000 years from Adam and Eve to the last prophets.

Why do I sweat (mostly on face) when I eat usually spicy food?

OBEY!

From beginning to end, the bible is all about using fear of nonexistent beings — monsters under the bed, monsters in the closet — to control the minds and behavior of people gullible enough to believe evil nonsense.

“Whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)

Is there a specific time frame for therapists to tell their clients they are wrong?

In the Old Testament you could be stoned to death, for thinking independently.

Sexual desire (“lust”) is evil, and to desire someone is the same as committing adultery:

Human beings eating bacon, pork and shellfish is an “abomination” to god. Of course the vast majority of christians eat such “abominations” while claiming to “love” god, who they claim is the same “yesterday, today and forever” and thus still abominates such foods. How can people who “love” god do something he loathes? Is their love a “sham” because they love bacon more than god?

What happens if one doesn’t OBEY! the dictates of the creators of such nonsense?

Women wearing men’s clothes is an “abomination” to god. Of course the vast majority of christian women have worn pants.

Making love is evil, unless sanctioned by marriage. Of course the vast majority of christians have sex outside marriage.

I’m wondering about attachment and transference with the therapist and the idea of escape and fantasy? How much do you think your strong feelings, constant thoughts, desires to be with your therapist are a way to escape from your present life? I wonder if the transference serves another purpose than to show us our wounds and/or past experiences, but is a present coping strategy for managing what we don’t want to face (even if unconsciously) in the present—-current relationships, life circumstances, etc. Can anyone relate to this concept of escape in relation to their therapy relationship? How does this play out for you?

The central theme of the bible, in a single word, is:

And thus coupled with OBEY! is the parallel dictate “Never, ever, think for yourself!”
